    Simply go to the description page of the item you are interested in purchasing and "add it to your shopping cart".  You will only see the 'add to shopping cart' option if the item is available to order, a.k.a. "in stock".  Then you will be directed to either continue shopping or to check out.  You will need to provide your name, shipping address, email and phone #.  When we recieve this information, your item will be placed on hold and you will receive an email confirmation.

    What are my payment options?

    We accept all major credit cards including: Visa, MC, American Express and Discover through Paypal, a secure on line payment service.  We personally can not accept credit cards numbers, only through PayPal.  We also accept money orders and personal checks.  Anyone with a checking account can also use Paypal to send electronic checks.

    How do I pay with a credit card?

    You will be prompted to make a credit card payment through Paypal when you checkout.  If you have any problems just let us know you want to pay by credit card and we will send you a PayPal invoice.  Otherwise you can log on directly to your Paypal account and send money to: MsVintageVault@aol.com

    PayPal is a online service that allows you to make payments instantly and securely online.  You no longer need to have a PayPal account to pay - you are now able to make a credit card payment through PayPal without having to open an account!  If your new to PayPal creating a personal account with them allows you to send money to anyone with an email address without that person/company ever knowing your credit card information.  When you sign up with Paypal (it's totally free to you by the way) you give PayPal permission to send the money for you, then PayPal deposits the money for you instantly. You can pay with your checking, savings or any credit cards you choose through Paypal.  It's so easy!

    Can I pay with a personal check or money order?

    Yes, however you must confirm by sending us an email (MsVintageVault@aol.com) that you want the item and your preferred payment method, so that we can place the item(s) on hold for you.  We hold items for 10 days to allow plenty of time for payment to arrive.  Let us know that you are sending payment so we can keep an eye out for it.

    We will send you an email confirming your order that will include: who to make the check out to and our mailing address, please print it out or write out a page with the item name and number on it, along with your shipping address, and include it with the check or MO.

    SHIPPING? Where do you ship to? & How do you ship items?

    We ship anywhere in the continental United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe and now to Hong Kong & Austrailia!  If your country is not listed, feel free to request shipping to your country.

    Shipping in the U.S. is by Priority Mail, taking 2 – 3 days.

    Shipping to CANADA is by Global Priority Mail, taking 4 – 6 days.

    Shipping in the UK & Europe is by Global Priority Mail, taking 4– 8 days.

    Shipping to Hong Kong & Austrailia is by Global Priority Mail, taking 6 – 10 days.

    We cannot ship to a PO Box.  Please provide us with a proper shipping address.

    We will ship your item(s) within 2 business days of receiving PayPal confirmation or money order (and usually much sooner). We wait for checks to clear first, which usually takes no longer than ten days.

    What is your REFUND POLICY?

    We want you to be totally thrilled with your experience at The Vintage Vault, from start to finish!  As an internet shopper ourselves the best advice we can give you is to be sure to ask any and all questions prior to purchase!  If something isn't explained fully or is confusing, please send us an email and just ask!  We'll usually get back with you within 24 hours.

    Once you receive your item(s), if you have any questions or problems with your purchase please email us immediately upon receiving your merchandise.  If we have NOT made special arrangements prior to placing your order or if we have grossly misrepresented an item in regards to condition or size only our policy is as follows:

    NO RETURNS/REFUNDS on any items under $50.00.

    • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

    For all other items, a full refund will be made, less shipping and/or credit card charges (see below), on all items found unsuitable.  If the mistake is ours, we will do what is fair to correct the situation.

    For a refund you MUST E-mail us within 3 DAYS of confirmed post office delivery date to let us know that item is being returned, and then you must mail back the item within 3 DAYS of your e-mail request. 
    If we do not hear from you within 3 DAYS of confirmed post office delivery date, the item is ASSUMED SOLD and no refunds will be issued.

    All returns MUST be mailed back via priority mail, with Delivery Confirmation and Insured for full cost. Items must be returned in the SAME CONDITION as when received.

    DAMAGED GOODS: All items are inspected thoroughly prior to shipping, so any damage other than any described on the web site must be claimed by the buyer against the carrier.

    CREDIT CARD PURCHASE RETURNS:  Any items purchased by credit card and returned will be charged a 3% fee.(I cover the credit card fees for purchases, but require you to pay those fees if item is returned.

    What does it mean when an item says ON HOLD?

    Items are placed ON HOLD after an order has been placed.  They can remain ON HOLD for up to 10 days which allows time for payment to be made as well as making sure the purchaser is completely satisfied with the item and does not want to make an exchange or return.

     

    If I have questions, how can I contact you?

    If you need more information on an item (pictures, measurements, etc.) please feel free to email us at MsVintageVault@aol.com.  We will do our best to answer your questions within 24 hours.

    Why can we only contact you via email and not by telephone?

    Well, with the World Wide Web spanning well, the WORLD, and our small crew only available on the Eastern Time zone of the USA, when a Fashionista in France wants to pick up the phone and ask a question – MsVintageVault is probably getting her much desired beauty sleep and would not be at her most pleasant to discuss vintage clothing at 3:30 in the morning.  So, we figure – drop us an email, we will return it as soon as it is possible and in a much better mood.  Trust us – everyone will be better-off!

    How do you judge condition? aka: Our Rating Chart

    This is how we rate the goods:

    Mint/Perfect: Self-explanatory. RARE

    Near Mint/Perfect: Like new, no noted flaws.

    Excellent: Noted minor flaws, which do not compromise the item.

    Very Good: Noted minor flaws, easily reparable, wearable as purchased.

    Good: Noted minor flaws, most likely reparable, wearable with care or after repair.

    Fair: Numerous noted flaws, some significant, possibly reparable/wearable.

    As Found: An honest piece damaged beyond repair with value as a costume or for study.

    How are your measurements taken?

    Can I make an exchange?

    Yes, but we can only offer exchanges for another item you see on our site. 

    The items that we offer at The Vintage Vault are the only ones of their kind available, they do not come in different sizes or colors or in multiple quantites.  What you see here is what you get in most cases. 

    Do you have a consignment program?

    We do not have a 'brick & morter' store at this time, so for that reason we do not have a consignment program

    We will purchase vintage clothing, jewerly and vintage accessories outright.  Please keep in mind that we are only interested in purchasing items that are from the 1970s and earlier.
